Highlights:

The 2 teams running for the October 25, 2010 local elections came to the Kapihan last Oct. 2 to present to the attendees their respective platforms.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

We appeal to Xavierville Phase 2 residents to come forward and share their time and talents for the following regular events:

1) to serve as directors or members of the XHA2 Board;

2) to provide program numbers for the Halloween;

3) to provide entertainment during the Village Fiesta, usually falling on the Saturday closest to December 3, Feast of St Francis Xavier.

Village Fiesta 2010 – December 4 (Sat.)
Program:
  • KALESA Rides free for kids whole day
  • 5:00 PM – Holy Mass at the Shrine
  • Potluck salu-salo follows right after
  • Entertainment numbers

  • Christmas Bazaar – December 1 – 5:

THOSE INTERESTED IN SETTING UP A BAZAAR BOOTH MAY SEND EMAIL alizaracelis@gmail.com OR PROCEED TO THE XHA2 VILLAGE OFFICE TO REGISTER.
  • On Dec. 4 (Sat.), whole day, the home of Atty. Escueta (21-A Alvero St.) will be available for Ballroom Dancing (max.: 10 couples). Those who are interested may send email or may please notify the Village Manager at the Village office by Dec. 1, 2010.

Our SCHEDULE / PROGRAM this year was as follows:

Up to 2:30 PM – Registration

(Judging of best Costumes begins at this point)

2:30 – 3:30 PM – GAMES galore!

3:30 – 4:15 PM – EATING / Rest / Arts & Crafts

4:15 – 4:45 PM – “Fashion Show” of those shortlisted as “best 12” contestants

4:45 PM – Announcement of winners

5:00 PM – EXIT – TRICK or TREAT J

– Parade of all costumed guests along Alvero Street

– Photo-op near the Shrine

– Trick or Treat to the indicated households

Special Features this year:

1) Arts & Crafts corner:

An Arts teacher came to invite everyone to produce a MURAL by the end of the festivity. Here are some shots:


2) Sponsor “Galileo Learning Center” was on hand for loot bag giveaways (to those who can answer simple questions on the computer) and to donate gift certificates for scholarships for kids.
