This is called “YouNiv” [pronounced “you′-niv”], which stands for UNIVersity, from which proceed UNIVersal ideas, UNIVersal sentiments…

¡Hola!

I’d like to begin with a statement by President Theodore Roosevelt, etched on a mural at the lobby of the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH), entitled “MANHOOD”:

”]"Manhood", Theodore Roosevelt [Museum of Natural History]

“A man’s usefulness depends upon his living up to his ideals insofar as he can.  It is hard to fail but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

All daring and courage, all iron endurance of misfortune make for a finer nobler type of manhood.

Only those are fit to live who do not fear to die and none are fit to die who have shrunk from the joy of life and the duty of life.”

My point of reflection for today, especially to the youth, is: the need to think and to take one’s studies seriously.  More on this matter next time.  For now, I’d like to lead you to my ruminations lately on the task of the UNIVersity, which is a wonderful place where we can all think, discuss, learn, speak, grow…be more human 🙂

Yeah, I was equally moved myself, when I saw it; that’s why I immediately took a shot of it 🙂 That’s the mettle of Theodore Roosevelt! OK, will pray for you…to survive the ‘hell week’ 😉
